Kate Sheppard, a senior reporter and the environmental and energy editor at the Huffington Post, has written an extended article on the effects of climate change on the Alaskan town of Shishmaref. Rising sea levels have been eroding the island town’s shores, and in July 2002 the residents opted to relocate. However, the process of relocation has been challenging.
